There are some things in life that seem too weird to be true, but are. This is one of them. We've seen cars with two front ends that can be driven from either end, and every sort of permutation of stretched vehicles, from Hummers, to Escalades, Lamborghinis to Corvettes.
But we have to say this is the first double-wide Jeep we've ever seen. When we first saw the YouTube video clip, we were certain it had to be some sort of editing trick. But the footage, although not high-resolution, looked pretty convincing. We were also able to find a supposed still photo of the mutated beast standing still.
Technical specifications are elusive, but the Franken-Wrangler appears to have twin radiators (also indicating possible twin engines) and can supposedly seat up to eight passengers.
The photo, snapped by the Unlucky Photographer, shows panels blocking out what would otherwise be the respective left and right-side headlights, and an intermediate clear panel joining the two windshields.
Interestingly, the builder or owner opted not to use the four-door Wrangler Unlimited as the basis of this bizarre creation, but a standard-wheelbase, two door JK Wrangler. Some wide and short vehicles have been described as being "square" but this one might fit the literal description, or be even wider than it is long. All we could glean is that it's supposedly the property of a diplomat of some Arabic nation living in Morocco.
Do you think this is fake or real? And does it make you cry or laugh. We're still so stunned by it, we're not sure whether to laugh or cry.
