Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) rates the Hennessey VelociRaptor 600 Supercharged at 605 flywheel horsepower. So, how much power does a Hennessey VelociRaptor 600 Supercharged put do the rear wheels? HPE strapped its supercharged beast to the dyno to find out.
Go fast goodies on the Hennessey VelociRaptor 600 Supercharged are built around supporting the TVS2300 supercharger. Airflow to and from the blown engine is assisted by an air-to-water intercooler, high-flow intake system, stainless steel long tube headers, high-flow catalytic converters, and a stainless steel cat-back exhaust. With the increased airflow comes the need for additional fuel. Fuel is supplied by larger fuel injectors managed by an HPE engine management calibration that is tuned on the chassis dyno and the street. A boost gauge helps monitor the supercharged mill and wheel and tire upgrade round out the performance modifications.
Hennessey claims the nearly three-tone, supercharged truck can accelerate to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds, and through the quarter-mile in 13.6 seconds at 103 mph. Top speed is electronically limited to 110 mph because of the tire rating. So how much power does the Hennessey VelociRaptor 600 Supercharged put to the rear wheels? How does 479 horsepower and 515 lb-ft of earth-pounding torque sound?
If that's not enough power for you HPE also offers an 810-horsepower Hennessey VelociRaptor 800 Supercharged truck. A milder 501-horsepower Hennessey VelociRaptor 500 Supercharged is also available.
Hennessey also includes a serial numbered dash and engine plaques, and a one-year/12,000 mile warranty. Check out the video HERE to see the Hennessey VelociRaptor 600 Supercharged put the smack down on the chassis dyno.
