If you're eagerly waiting for the new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, we've got some good news. General Motors has just released a video and a photo of the upcoming Silverado, stating the truck is currently going through the "final paces" of testing. The photo shows the truck performing water tests at the company's Yuma, Arizona proving grounds.
Chevy also released a short video of the new 2014 Silverado towing a loaded trailer on an incline, one of many ways to test the powertrain and transmission. It's unclear which model is being put through the paces in the video, since the truck is still heavily camouflaged. Spy photos of the new 2014 Silverado trucks (shown in the gallery below)surfaced a few months ago and the models were easily identified by the wheel lug nuts (six for the 1500 light-duty and eight for the heavy duty model).
Among the engines choices will be a new small-block, direct-injection V-8. A new V-6 is also expected, with rumors suggesting a turbocharged 3.0-liter mill that may compete with Ford's EcoBoost F-150. HD models will get revised V-8 gas engines as well as an updated 6.6-liter Duramax diesel option.
What do you expect to see from the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado?
