Dear Truck Trend,
I've read Truck Trend for several years, and it was an excellent magazine for "truck" people. Then you started featuring "non-trucks" -- mostly small SUVs that were as far from a truck as they could be. But this month's is the worst yet -- a freaking Mini Cooper???!!! This one is too much! How can anyone consider a Mini Cooper a truck?

We had a tough time deciding to include the Cooper Countryman in Truck Trend. On the one hand, Mini is calling this a crossover, and it does qualify for Sport/Utility of the Year: The ALL4 is all-wheel drive and has more ground clearance and cargo volume than a regular Mini, and, while it is certainly miles away from a traditional SUV, there are elements of the vehicle that make it comparable to other crossovers out there. That it isn't a truck is why we gave it only two pages in the last issue -- but we hear you loud and clear.
