By deciding to take the 2012 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor to rock crawl in moab, someone in Dearborn clearly said "time for something completely different." They also said "make sure you get it on video," as is evidenced by this clip from the Blue Oval boys.
The brave souls at the Blue Oval took some shiny new 2012 Raptors onto the taxing Hell’s Revenge Trail and then shot the ensuing rock-crawling using a drone-mounted camera. The 2012 Raptor has two significant new features that make this sort of rock-crawling easier: a Torsen front differential and front-mounted camera. The former allows the Raptor to make it over the steep rocks, while the latter helps the driver keep the paint pristine and the sheetmetal dent-free while it does so.
Truck Trend Editor Allyson Harwood was on the event where this video was shot, so be sure to read her review of the 2012 Raptor once you’re able to close your jaw after watching this clip.
