Dear Truck Trend,
I have been considering buying a new NV to replace my aging Ford E-350. I've read stories on the NV, but you haven't report the EPA fuel-economy rating. I understand you have some miles on the test truck. Could you share the testing mpg on the highway? I use my truck for commercial expedited service, long haul. Please shed some light on this!

Dear Reader,
To answer the first question, the EPA doesn't do fuel-economy testing for vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of more than 8500 pounds. Those vehicles exempt from testing include heavy-duty pickups and full-size vans like the Nissan NV, specifically 3/4- or one-tons. We are going to do fuel-economy testing on an NV in the near future and will let you know what we find out!
