Last night I took home a 2012 BMW X3 xDrive35i for the evening. After getting into the Bimmer, I immediately spent the next 20 minutes trying to both turn the air conditioning off, and turn the Sirius Satellite Radio on.
Not to toot my own horn, but being a young 22-year old, I'm normally pretty good with electronics, but BMW's iDrive system was just such a hassle. Despite its 'i' prefix, iDrive has nothing in common with Apple's simple, yet very popular electronics. Let me put this simply, iDrive is more Windows Vista, than iPhone 4. That being said, I do believe that if I were forced to live with iDrive every day I could get used to it -- maybe even grow to like it. However, you know what they say -- first impressions are usually right.
