Our Cars: 2010 Ram 2500 HD - Focusing on the Details

After driving our 2010 Ram 2500 heavy duty truck over the weekend, I have a few additional thoughts on what Chrysler did right and what could use improvement:

• Ram should really consider "borrowing" Ford's man step idea to get into the truck bed. It's not that easy to get into the back of this heavy duty truck.

• The heated steering wheel is amazing. It's one of those features you think is a complete waste of money until you use it on a cold and rainy day.

• Bigger isn't always better, but the size of this navigation screen is unacceptably small. I'm tired of zooming in and out because I can't see enough of my surroundings on the map. Hopefully, Chrysler can find a way to stick the new 8.4-inch touchscreen system in this truck at some point.

• The steering wheel buttons are some of the best I've used. Huge buttons to control the information center between the gauges, and the radio station and volume buttons hidden on the back of the steering wheel.

• As for that information center, it would be nice to have song and artist information instead of just seeing the name of the Sirius/XM station to which you're listening.
