Tonight’s NASCAR Truck race is in Phoenix, and Kevin Harvick could be both the winning driver and owner when the checkered flag falls. Harvick is a favorite to win after attaining victories in Phoenix on all three national NASCAR levels, including a Truck series podium last year. Tonight’s start will also be his 100th in the series.
"I always seem to do well at Phoenix, so I'm excited to see what we can do this weekend," Harvick said. "I run well in the Truck Series, and every time I climb in the truck, I expect to be in contention at the end to win. Our truck program has really peaked, and that makes it a lot of fun to race and see what we can do on the track. Hopefully at the end of the night, I can defend my win from last year and get the No. 4 team their first win of the season."
And let’s not forget current Truck leader Ron Hornaday. If Hornaday, the No. 33 driver for Kevin Harvick Incorporated, finishes ahead of Matt Crafton, he will be crowned the 2009 Truck series champion. The owners’ title is also on the line, with KHI just 75 points ahead of Kyle Busch’s No. 51 Billy Ballew Motorsports entry.
