1. Ron, do you know if the AWD solution in the 4-cyl CVT model is the same as (OR as effective as) the AWD in the 6? From your review it sounds like it is. I ask only because i've heard the awd in another car i was considering, an 07 Toyo Highlander Hybrid, does NOT work the way other awd's do (even the non-hybrid 07 HH) and is not very effective. I'd hate to get the Subie CVT awd and be disappointed. So: Sounds like based on your experience, the awd is fine in the 4 (I'd be wanting traction in snow in kentucky and sand in florida). But just to flesh out that conclusion, does the mechanical analysis support the same conclusion?

(From Subaru website: On the 4-cyl, "notably, the world's first longitudinal, awd CVT application" and on the 6-cyl, "a five-speed auto...coupled to Subaru's VTD (Variable Torque Distribution) AWD system (wherein a center diff interacts with a continuously-variable hydraulic transfer clutch).
