Dear Truck Trend,

After reading about Michelin's Active Wheel ("Max Payload," July/August), I was curious about how this setup would work on a truck. A little digging on the Internet revealed a video that shows the wheel working. It doesn't look like there's enough suspension travel for most trucks, but I can't wait to see a car with this setup!

Dear Reader,

We aren't sure there's enough suspension travel for off-roading, but there may be some potential here for on-road truck use. While it is most likely going to be used in cars, it would be interesting to see if Michelin could make it work on trucks, too.
