Yesterday J.D. Power and Associates released their annual Initial Quality Study for 2009 vehicles. According to J.D. Power, this is the list of the "Most Problem-Free Trucks of 2009" with least number of problems reported by owners of the vehicles.

2009 Initial Quality: Most Problem-Free Trucks
Based on the results of the J.D. Power and Associates 2009 Initial Quality Study, which measures customer satisfaction with vehicle quality at 90 days of ownership, these are the SUVs, pickups and minivans for which the fewest number of problems per 100 vehicles were reported by verified owners of the vehicles, by segment.
Compact MAV (tie): 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser
Chrysler's PT Cruiser is a compact multi-activity vehicle with unique retro-wagon styling. All three models of the PT cruiser are front-wheel drive. The standard engine is a 2.4-liter normally aspirated 4-cylinder, and the Limited model features a turbocharged variant of the same powerplant.

Compact MAV (tie): 2009 Honda CR-V
Honda’s compact crossover CR-V blends modern aerodynamic styling, a comfortable interior, and an efficient engine in six different models. Each shares the same 4-cylinder engine, leaving consumers to choose equipment levels, options and front- or all-wheel-drive powertrains.
Midsize MAV (tie): 2009 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
Chevrolet’s TrailBlazer is a midsize sport utility vehicle built on a traditional body-on-frame platform. Engine choices include 6- and 8-cylinder powerplants mated to either rear- or 4-wheel-drive powertrains. The TrailBlazer’s final year on the market is 2009.
Midsize MAV (tie): 2009 Ford Edge
The Ford Edge is a midsize crossover SUV with seating for up to 5 passengers. Modern styling, and a car-like unibody platform, set the Edge apart from other traditional domestic body-on-frame offerings. All Edge variants, including the all-wheel-drive models, feature a 3.5-liter 6-cylinder engine.
Midsize MAV (tie): 2009 Toyota 4Runner
Toyota’s legendary 4Runner is a traditional SUV, delivering utility and off-road ruggedness that crossovers can’t match. Equipped with standard 2WD or optional 4WD, the 4Runner is available with two different V-6 powerplants that are each mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission.

Midsize Pickup: 2009 Honda Ridgeline
The Honda Ridgeline is a midsize, crew-cab pickup truck built on an SUV platform with an independent suspension. What makes it even more unique is the locking, in-bed trunk that owners find incredibly useful. All Ridgelines are equipped with a 3.5-liter 6-cylinder engine and standard all-wheel drive.
Midsize Premium MAV: 2009 Lexus GX
The Lexus GX 470 is a midsize luxury sport utility vehicle with seating for up to 8 passengers. Built on a rugged platform that it shares with the Toyota 4Runner, all variants of the GX 470 feature the same 263-hp V-8 engine, a 5-speed automatic transmission, and a full-time 4-wheel-drive powertrain.

Minivan: 2009 Toyota Sienna
Toyota’s entrant into the competitive minivan segment is the Sienna. With optional seating for up to 8 passengers, the four Sienna models share the same 3.5-liter V-6 engine and 5-speed automatic transmission, but the Sienna also offers additional four-season confidence with available all-wheel drive.
Large MAV: 2009 GMC Yukon
The GMC Yukon is a full-size traditional SUV available in short- and long-wheelbase variants. All models offer standard V-8 power and the choice of 2- or 4-wheel drive. Depending on the configuration, the Yukon has the capacity to carry up to 8 passengers and their cargo.

Ford’s popular F-150, on sale for more than five decades, is a full-size pickup built on a traditional rugged ladder frame. Redesigned for 2009, the truck is offered with a variety of cabs and beds, 6- and 8-cylinder gasoline or diesel engines, and rear- or 4-wheel-drive powertrains.
Large Pickup (tie): 2009 Toyota Tundra
Introduced nearly one decade ago, Toyota’s Tundra competes in an arena traditionally dominated by Chevy, Dodge, Ford and GMC. Like its competition, the Tundra offers a choice of passenger cabins and beds, 6- and 8-cylinder gasoline engines, and rear- or 4-wheel-drive powertrains.
Large Premium MAV: 2009 Lexus LX
The LX is the largest sport utility vehicle available from the premium Lexus brand. With seating for up to 8 passengers, this luxurious but rugged off-roader features a standard 5.7-liter V-8 engine and a long list of standard amenities. The Lexus LX shares its platform with the nearly identical Toyota Land Cruiser.
