1. first of all, Cummins began to be installed in Dodge in 1989. and if you ever owned one, and even considered a 6.2 GM diesel ( duh? ), a 7.3L Navistar, or a 6.0, or a 6.6 ( what are they putting in lately ? ) , how about a 6.5 GM diesel ?. Turbo Diesel Register reads like Dodge and Cummins own it. All the talk, still going around about Ford Owns Cummins, it needs to be said that Ford only wishes it owned Cummins. If Ford did, why isn't the 6.7 in the Ford F250, F350, F450, F550 ? ?
get into the larger F650 and it shows up there. Go to the frame rails on the Dodge - 50,000PSI. Tell me what GM and Ford lists as their PSI, far below the Dodge. How about a PTO prep on the trans ? GM, are you there ? Hello ?
Ford ? isn't that exhaust pipe in the way ? But, everyone just continues to blindly accept Ford and what they have to offer. Same for GM. Someday they will wake up to the Dodge/Cummins and never look back.
also, as the article starts to compare the Ram 4500/5500, it publishes a chart on the GM 350, Ford 350 and the Dodge 350. I say, if you are writing about the 4500 / 5500, then compare THAT to the other chassis cabs in the same class. Get your tank full ! Get a Ram !
