Does GM still plan to have its baby Duramax available for the 1500 Silverado crew cab? When will it go on sale?

Dear Reader,
Bad news--looks like the 4.5-liter Duramax is on "indefinite hold." The best-case scenario is that the 2012-2015 CAFE rules will work in diesels' favor, which could mean the baby Duramax would be back on for the Silverado. But, according to Todd Lassa, Motor Trend's Detroit editor, that's a long shot. Read more about his findings in Max Payload on page 11 of the July/August Issue.
