Look at a copy of the 2009 Ford Commercial Trucks brochure. Under the specifications for 2009 E-Series vans, under engines, it lists three-valve 5.4-liter and three-valve 6.8-liter options, yet horsepower and torque ratings are the same as 2008-and-prior two-valve 5.4- and 6.8-liter ratings. (It lists the 4.6-liter as being a two-valve engine.) Has three-valve technology finally made it into Ford's big vans, or is this a misprint?

Dear Reader,
We went to www.commtruck.ford.com and downloaded a pdf of the brochure, which didn't mention the number of valves per cylinder at all, which may have been a correction done since you received a copy of the brochure. But we looked up the data on these engines, and it looks like all three E-Series gas engines are two-valve for 2009; the only one with more than those is the 6.0-liter, four-valve Power Stroke. But the 4.6- and 5.4-liters are now Flex-Fuel capable.
