It would be tempting to judge afmsquid1's lifted 1989 Toyota 4Runner by its looks, but do that and you're missing the most interesting part about this truck.

As afmsquid1 says:

"On one of the Hollister expeditions in 2002, my pride took over and I ended up going into a mud pit that was way too deep for a truck without a snorkel.  The original 3.0 Liter Toyota V6 sucked up the mud and that was the end of that motor.  I used the opportunity to swap in a 4.3l Vortec motor from a 1994 Chevy Blazer along with a built 4l60e transmission."
