If you've ever wondered what a Mini Cooper S Clubman would look like towing an Airstream trailer, here's your answer. Apparently, Denmark-based furniture design firm Republic of Fritz Hansen had the same question when they put this unlikely pairing together for the Salone del Mobile show in Milan, Italy next month.

Both Mini and Airstream have been somewhat stylized for the show. The Mini gets a jet black exterior with green trim and black "wetsuit" neoprene accents, while inside, you'll find a lightning green interior. The Airstream trailer receives similar treatment outside, but inside, surfing influence prevails. Wood paneling adorns the inner walls of the trailer, and a sun bathing bed can be found amidst Republic of Fritz Hansen table and chairs. Active beach-goers will also be delighted to know that the interior is totally waterproof - no need to dry off before climbing aboard.

"Partnering with Mini was a given," said Bob Wheeler, CEO of Airstream, Inc. "As one of the oldest manufacturers of recreational vehicles in the U.S. and Mini's longstanding history producing unmistakable sport cars, we knew that we would make a dynamite team."

Not surprisingly, this Mini-Airstream conceptual package is likely to stay just that - a concept.
