The new Lexus RX must be impressive to fend off all the compact SUVs against which the luxury crossover will surely be compared in the marketplace. New compact and midsize luxury SUVs like the Audi Q5, Volvo XC60, and Mercedes-Benz GLK crowd a dense segment some say the Lexus RX helped create.
The styling of the 2010 Lexus RX won't offend owners of 2009 RXs, but in fact every body panel is new. The front end adopts Lexus' "L-finesse" design language, most prevalent in the grille. In the rear, clear taillights -- an RX design trait since midway through the SUV's first generation -- have been updated. Inside, the swoopy silver trim (shown below) in the center console is new.
