Remember the guy who posted his 1991 Chevy Silverado that had over one-million miles on eBay and wanted $30,000 for it? He’s back.
The first time Frank Oresnik put up his 10-day auction, no one bid on the $30,000 minimum, but he did get a lot of views and watched item additions. When the auction ended, he took all the views and additions as signs of market interest, and this time around put up a no-minimum-bid auction, but with an undisclosed reserve price. As of this writing, the current bid price is $10,099.99, with the reserve price not yet met.
The history of the car was that Oresnik bought the truck 12 years ago with 41,000 miles. He proceeded to use it to deliver seafood in three states, average an annual mileage of 85,000 miles, and uses it today. Once he got to one-million miles, all the media attention led to his premium-priced eBay listing. We hope the current listing ends nowhere near the $30,000 initial listing, lest we see a sudden influx of eBay listings for vehicles with more than a million miles.
