With reference to your May/June 2008 issue, specifically the letter about the new GMC Sierra Denali versus the new Toyota Tundra 5.7-liter CrewMax Limited...
I've owned both and would offer the following: Both are great vehicles, but I find the GMC Sierra Denali a better truck regarding interior materials, interior headroom, entry/exit ease, cargo loading ease, a "real" locking rear differential, available all-wheel drive, much better ride quality (compared with the TRD Tundra option), better gas mileage, absence of recalls with the Denali, much better factory assistance/consideration with GMC (a GMC assembly factory manager called me to ensure my satisfaction), and a better purchase price when equally equipped. If rear-seat legroom, a slightly quicker 0-to-60 quality on most concrete pavement Interstates. You'll find Toyota dealerships accommodating, but the Toyota factory representatives difficult and indifferent on problem issues. I owned several Ford F-150 King Ranch trucks prior to moving to the new Tundra and then to the new Sierra Denali (the best yet).
