1. Hummer has the potential of being a brand leader for technology on the GM side. Its a premium brand with history, which means it can charge a premium as it has been doing to lead the way for new means of distinguishing the brand. Kill GMC since its nothing but Chevy's anyways, and have Hummer be the brands off-road sibling. Leave Cadillac to be the On-road sibling.

It should parallel Jeep & Toyota in my opinion.

1.) I don't see why Hummer can't make a Toyota like A-BAT with Hummer styling, and get Diesel Hybrids in its line up to increase the MPGs to meet CAFE Standards. Afterall GM's bragging about its dual stage hybrid, and coupled with a smaller 2.8l V6 Hybrid from the Euro Cadillacs could do it. They should also have an SUV based loosly off this platform similar in size to the RAV4.

Then having a Mid Size Pickup similar to the H3t without its porkiness, and the new 4.5V8 Diesel hybrid option could make this truck cable of 7700# tow ratings, 30+ MPG, and still have a payload great for hauling. Making 2 SUV versions of the same platform, one focussed on off-road the other on 8 people seating would be great. Think Lexus GX470 and Toyota FJ Cruiser.

Lastly, a real Full Size Truck, that is really more the like the HD line up or maybe even the Kodiak. It would be pick up only and have a loose SUV look similar to the original H1. It would be easily adaptable for municipal use like Fire Stations, Ambulance Services, Military Use, etc...

Then again we can all just dream that GM doesn't sell us the same car 3 different ways, and that would be a big plus to start with!
