In "Best In Class 2008" (May/June), you list the Toyota Tundra as the best 2WD Crew Cab and that the only other real choices are Ford and GM. You didn't even mention the Titan, which in my opinion is the best bang for the buck. You list the Tundra's base price at $28,370, but that doesn't include the bigger 5.7-liter engine or six-speed tranny. The Titan has a few less horsepower, but I still think it's a close second ahead of Ford, GM, and Dodge. The Titan also has the most room where you need it. My hair was scraping the ceiling in the Chevy and Toyota, but in the Titan I can wear a cowboy hat if I want, and the Chevy's back seat was cramped compared with the Titan's.
The Tundra's back seat doesn't flip up and out of the way so you can store large bulky items on the floor. And where's the factory sprayed-on bedliner? I don't want to mess around having it done elsewhere. I've had my 2005 Titan K.C. for three years without a problem. When I upgrade to a crew cab this year, it'll be another Titan unless the new Ford or Dodge can change my mind.
