2. Interesting idea.

For one, I blame the majority of Hummer owners for a good piece of the current Gas price crunch. How often do you see peopel driving these gas guzzling monsters for no better reason than as a status symbol? There are more fuel efficient status symbols out there to be driven for sure.

The other thing is, GM is missing the boat on the fact that there's no brand identity like there used to be. Most of the divisions share cars with little or no difference between them. The Lucerne/Impala/GRand Prix is a good example, and the varous SUVs another. While there's nothing wrong with sharing the same drivetrain, how about making the cars look more different between the brands?!

Most of GM's designs to me lack excitement and energy, outside of the Corvette, Camaro, and XLR.
