Did you know the most recycled consumer products are our very own autos? According to the Environmental Protection Agency, 95 percent of all automobiles are recycled, beating both paper and plastic. An estimated 11.4 million vehicles will be sent to the crusher for recycling this year alone.
Nearly 84 percent of each vehicle can be recycled; everything from floormats and instrument panels to upholstery, aluminum, and steel. The recycled bits are then sent to factories to be re processed into new parts for new vehicles. It’s kind of like rein-car-nation for the common car.
