When families grow it's easy to find an SUV with passenger seating for seven. Most manufactures are cramming third-row seats in just about any vehicle they can. But what do you do when you want a truck with third-row seating?
A company in Denver, Colorado, called The Stretch Truck Co. can turn a crew-cab pickup into the family hauler you need by extending the frame to add a third set of doors and seats to the cab. Basically this turns the cab in to a six-door passenger truck that can fit more than a half dozen people. Great idea for throwing all the boys in one truck on a work site or when you're about to have your sixth child and don't want to conform to a minivan.
Most of Stretch Truck's work is done on vehicles that are a couple of years old, though they can perform the conversion on new trucks and SUVs as well. The Stretch Truck staff is well experienced with automotive salvaging, which includes frame and bodywork. This process takes about four to six weeks to complete and can run somewhere in the ball park of $20,000 (interior included) on a vehicle you supply. If you don't own a truck, turnkey conversions are available in the range of $45,000 to $65,000 depending on configuration and features.
