1. If you do not agree with them then just don't pay attention to how they rank vehicles. The thing with these test, they only look at what the average consumer sees, interior, performance (less with towing and more with straight line) and exterior looks, along with quality. However when testing a truck they should look at towing and payload and how the truck drives when towing an 8,000 lb trailer. This is how you should properly judge which truck is best. A truck is different from a car, it has a bed and made for towing. If your going to call a truck the best i say name it the best for what its made for, hauling people or hauling your work/toys around.

2. If a truck's performance were based only on its ability to tow heavy loads, I would pick the International CXT. It surely outperforms the F350. Yet, it is overkill for most of my needs. For most owners, the F350 is overkill as well. 90% of trucks sold are half-tons, not the SuperDuties. So half-tons outperform the SuperDuties. My Tundra costs a 1/3 less than the F350 (or the F350 costs 50% more than my Tundra). So the Tundra outperforms on price as well. With the manufacturers ripping off the diesel purchasers for diesel engines to the tune of $8-10K more for the diesel priviledge and big oil ripping off diesel purchasers for a lesser-refined product than gas purchasers, it seems that the Tundra outperforms with every fill up. It was a hard call between the F350 and the Tundra. For me, the Tundra won out. I don't know if I'll miss out on towing heavier items. Maybe I'll trade up to a heavy-duty truck if my needs require it. For now the Tundra outperforms the diesels.
