What Do the 15 presidential candidates from the two major parties drive? It's a great question, a suggestion from one of our readers, which isn't so easily answered. While campaigning across Iowa and New Hampshire, all the Republicans, but only two of the Democrats managed to respond. (A third Democrat, Barack Obama, reportedly drives a Chrysler 300. We were unable to ascertain whether or not it's a Hemi.)
At presstime, a few of the Republicans already had dropped out of the race: One being Rep. Tom Tancredo, from Colorado, who drives a Toyota Prius. And one of the former frontrunners, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney has the biggest car connection. His father, George, who ran for the GOP nomination in 1968, was earlier chairman of American Motors. Mitt Romney's sons bought him a car from when his father ran the automaker.
Here's the list. The level of detail is based on the actual descriptions given.
