This morning I was sitting in front of my T.V., waking up with a mug of warm tea. As the morning news went to commercial, a set of Motor Trend's calipers were struck with an object that set off an echoing ring.
My tired eyes opened wide upon realizing this was Mazda's new television commercial for the CX-9, which sings praise to its CX-9 for winning the 2008 Motor Trend Sport/Utility of the Year award. A happy commercial, no less -- but if I hadn't seen Motor Trend's calipers at the beginning, I might've mistaken it for a Kia Ronda commercial. All it needed was the rainbow and little blue birds. Thankfully, Mazda didn't go there.
