American Suzuki Motor Corporation today announced its current sales performance remains ahead of last year's record clip entering the second half of 2007. Year-to-date sales for 2007 now stand at 65,431 vehicles, one percent ahead of last year's sales through July and on pace to eclipse the record 100,990 vehicles sold during 2006.
Suzuki's sales continue to be fueled by the growing popularity of its all-new midsize crossover SUV, the XL7, which sold 1,743 units in July, an impressive 623 percent increase over last year's sales of the outgoing model. The media-acclaimed, compact SX4 Crossover also has been driving the company's strong results, which are poised to continue well into the summer driving season and beyond with the arrival of the all-new, four-door 2008 SX4 Sport in Suzuki dealerships nationwide this fall.
"As we enter the second half of 2007, we're pleased to remain on a record-setting pace and energized by the strong consumer and media response to our cars and SUVs," said Mark Harano, president of American Suzuki's Automotive Operations. "As we move fully into the third and fourth quarter, we remain confident that our spirited lineup, in combination with a committed dealer body, will yield appropriate levels of sales growth, along with increased customer satisfaction."
American Suzuki's product line includes the all-new XL7 midsize crossover SUV, the all-wheel drive compact SX4 Crossover, the media-acclaimed Grand Vitara, the popular Forenza sedan and Forenza Wagon, and the five-door Reno. In addition to this strong vehicle offering, Suzuki features America's #1 Warranty with an industry-leading 100,000-mile/seven-year, zero deductible, fully-transferable powertrain limited warranty.
