Motor Trend has reported that Hummer will be adding the newest and smallest SUV to its lineup. The long-awaited H4 has been given the green light to become a production vehicle. But when will we see it?
According to blog master Rory Jurnecka at Motor Trend:
The two-door, four-seat H4 should feature proportions similar those of the Jeep Wrangler and will represent the new entry-level model in the Hummer lineup, slotting in just underneath the H3. According to the Hummer Guy report, the doors, fender flares, and roof will be removable, and its wheelbase and height will be shorter. But it'll still be clearly recognizeable as a Hummer.
We're guessing the H4 should be fully trail-capable and just as functional as the H1 was designed to be, should the going get tough. After all, Hummer does have an image to uphold even if the majority of Hummers battle potholes rather than rocks. In addition, the smaller model will make an easier sell outside of the U.S.
