It was announced today that Infiniti has plans to debut the New FX37 at the 2008 Geneva auto show scheduled to be held next year, March 4-16.
Sources say the FX 37 will be a completely redesigned SUV that'll join the ranks with the G37 and M37. The FX37 will have a 3.7-liter engine, apparently the same motor as in the G37 coupe. It'll also join the premium crossover SUV lineup with its FX45 and FX35 brothers.
The FX45 (pictured left) made its debut in 2001 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit as new type of Infiniti concept created to take on the growing "Crossover Luxury" SUV market. In 2004, the FX became available in the FX45 and the FX35 trim models. The FX35 shared the same engine with the award-winning Infiniti G35 Sport Coupe and Sport Sedan. In 2006, all FX models were treated to a facelift and three new body colors. The 2008 model will retain most of the same attributes as the 2006. (2008 pictured top)
The FX37 is thought to be a redesign for the 2009 Infiniti lineup.
