According to online sources, Honda plans to build a 3.5-liter diesel engine for the Odyssey minivan slated for 2010
The Odyssey will be the first vehicle from Honda to be introduced with the diesel engine with plans to further develop the engine for the Honda Pilot and Ridgeline soon after.
Honda is the latest manufacturer to respond to the diesel engine demands from buyers.
The Odyssey is one of five vehicles from Honda that's earned 5-Star safety ratings for both front- and side-impact performance from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. A 5-Star rating is the highest government safety rating.
The updated 2008 Honda Pilot went on sale last month and introduced two new variations to the lineup starting at $27,595.
