General Motors' Australian brand Holden has just released two special edition Commodore SVZ Ute and wagon in Australia & New Zealand. Holden introduced the first 'coupe utility' to the Australian market, which is now known as a Ute, in the early 1950's.
The SVZ Ute takes on the body style of a funky-looking Chevy El Camino with an almost Saturn Ion-looking front end. I don't think American buyers would catch on to the 'coupe utility' idea according to previous attempts with the old Rancheros and El Caminos that didn't last long on the market.
The Commodore SVZ Wagon, on the other hand, is not so harsh-looking. Powered with an Alloytec V6 engine, the body lines and styling are very much like an older SportCombi Saab from the late '90s.

Holden has released special edition Commodore SVZ Ute and Wagon models offering key extra features and outstanding value for money.
Available Australia, SVZ Ute offers a six-speed manual transmission from $29,990 and a five-speed automatic from $30,990.
SVZ Ute is powered by the High Output Alloytec V6 engine which produces peak power of 190kW at 6500rpm (automatic transmission) and peak power of 187kW at 6000rpm (manual transmission) and 335Nm of peak torque at 3200rpm.*
Also available now, Commodore SVZ Wagon is priced from $32,490 and powered by the 172kW 3.6-litre Alloytec V6 engine with four-speed automatic transmission.*
