Verizon is continuing to make itself as green as an "on the go" mobile company can be. The wireless giant has just added 13 additional Enova Systems-equipped GMC 2500 service vans to its vast fleet of over 58,000 vehicles.
The GMC 2500s are specially marked with a green leaf to indicate they are powered by General Motor's clean Hybrid Electric Technology.
I think more companies should follow in Verizon's footsteps, especially the companies that have to do a lot of traveling. I would love to see, for example, the U.S. post office upgrade all of its mail trucks with this Enova Post-Transmission System, or to anything of that matter. Since stamps are going to go up in price again (no big surprise), it can use that extra change to make the world a cleaner place. Even UPS, which has the biggest vehicle fleet in the US.., should do more to help our environment. I don't think it would hurt.
