Volkswagen will launch the fashionably late wagon variant of the Jetta next month at the Geneva Auto Show under the Golf Variant nameplate.
A choice of four engines - two gasoline and two diesel - will be available at launch. Gasoline options will consist of either a 1.4-liter 140 horsepower twincharged four or a 2.0-liter 200 horsepower turbo four. Diesel fans will be able to choose between a 1.9-liter 105 horsepower four and a 2.0-liter 140 horsepower four.
Cargo capacity - a wagon's calling card - is an ample 24.4 cubic feet. Folding down the rear seats expands the area to a cavernous 54.7 cubic feet.
The vehicle will go on sale in Europe by mid-year and there is no word on whether the vehicle will be coming to the U.S.
