Anheuser-Busch, the Super Bowl's largest advertiser, gives a sneak preview of the commercials fans can expect for the big game on Sunday, February 4.
The beer company plans to air five minutes of new ads during the broadcast of Super Bowl XLI – more than any other advertiser. Anheuser-Busch has been producing Super Bowl spots since 1975 – and last year won its 8th consecutive USA TODAY "Ad Meter" victory. Anheuser-Busch is the Super Bowl's exclusive beer advertiser through 2012.
Ads in consideration to air during the game broadcast include:
"Apocalypse" (Budweiser) – NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. fends off a posse of post-Apocalyptic mutants.
"Clydesdales/Spot" (Budweiser) – A discouraged pup stumbles into his ticket to fame atop the world famous Budweiser Clydesdales hitch.
"King Crab" (Budweiser) – An army of sand crabs goes to great lengths to honor their favorite beach beverage.
"International Space Station" (Budweiser) – Astronauts at the International Space Station celebrate their final days in space with an ice-cold Budweiser.
"Rock, Paper, Scissors" (Bud Light) – Two friends settle their confrontation over the last Bud Light by playing a friendly game of Rock, Paper, Scissors.
"But He Has Bud Light" (Bud Light) – A young couple debates picking up an axe-wielding hitchhiker.
"Classroom" (Bud Light) – Comedian Carlos Mencia educates pupils how to properly order a Bud Light.
"Just A Game" (Budweiser Select) – Jay-Z takes on his toughest opponent yet in a futuristic game of football.
